A corporate calling

A corporate calling

After five years full time parenting my (now not so) little babes and part time running a small business I am desperate for a change. I am heading back into the corporate world to stretch my legal muscle once again and, not so secretly, I can't wait!

This will mean some changes to CATHERINEGRACE. To begin with, a new direction and a brand refresh - today I am launching CATHERINEGRACE INC which will focus on two distinct areas.

Firstly, Business insights for the style set will provide business, financial & legal insights for those in creative industries. This will build on the information I used to share on my old website (however I will now share it here). And never fear, I'll be bringing all relevant content over so you can get your full business fix right here at CATHERINEGRACE INC. My previous website, www.catherinegrace.com.au, will remain accessible, however I won't be updating it, so pop back here for all new content.

Secondly, after quite a struggle to find corporate wear that was stylish enough that I didn't feel trapped in a pinstriped prison, yet was still boardroom appropriate, I wanted to start a blog focusing on Style secrets for the corporate kids. There is a lot out there for those looking to dress sharply in the tech start up space, creative advertising industry and corporates with a bit of a "cool" bent. However when I searched for inspiration for my new office environment (where suits are the norm and the casual Friday dress code specifies no denim or open toed shoes) I came up short. I did find one great blog 9 to 5 Chic  and I love Anh's style, however as it is run out of San Fran our seasons are all back to front and I wanted to showcase Australian designers, and so this second part of the website was formed.

Sadly, I will have to put the Style & Shoot by CATHERINEGRACE service on hiatus as it is just not compatible with full time work during the week and spending time with my family and friends on the weekend. A HUGE thank you to my amazing clients who trusted me to create content for them, I have loved working with all of you. If you are after style & shoot work I can wholeheartedly recommend Concrete & Honey. Nicola has produced gorgeous work for a wide range of clients - check her out at Concrete & Honey.

I feel like we all get too many emails these days so, for now, I have not set up a mailing list to inform you of new posts and instead will use Instagram to let you know when there is something new on the website. What do you think? Do you want me to create a mailing list? Let me know.

I'd love to hear what you think, what business issues you want addressed and what corporate styling dilemmas you have (or where you shop for corporate wear). Stay in touch on Instagram or email me here.
